To grant pardon and absolution to Thomas Twysden, alias Bede, for having broken his monastic vows by acquiring property and lands following the dissolution of his monastery (Battle Abbey). Thomas is permitted to remain a secular and to retain his property on condition of bequeathing it for religious uses.
